Big Changes at Ride Coromandel

There’s lots to celebrate at the park this month as we continue to grow and improve our community trail hub:

Community Planting Day Success

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to our recent planting day! Together we got new native trees in the ground, helping to restore the park’s biodiversity and provide shade and shelter for future riders and walkers. These plantings build on our commitment to sustainability and make the park an even better place for people, birds, and nature.

🚻 New Toilet Installed

We’re excited to share that our brand-new toilet facility is now in place. Funded through the Tourism Infrastructure Fund with support from Thames-Coromandel District Council, this long-awaited upgrade will make visits more comfortable for all users and help us cater for the growing number of people enjoying the trails.

Carpark Upgrade Completed

The carpark has now been fully upgraded with new recycled-plastic bollards from Future Post and improved layout and access. These changes make the entry safer, improve access for when we have busloads of riders and more space for dog walkers to park safely.

Thank You

These upgrades are only possible thanks to the incredible support of our volunteers, funders, local contractors, and community. Ride Coromandel is a community park, and every hour, dollar, and helping hand goes straight back into making the park a place we can all be proud of. Huge thanks to Coromandel Excavators, Watson Engineering, Future Post, Kauri 2000 Trust and Coromandel Homes for helping us out!

How cool is our Loo?
